Inactive Rachael Farrokh / Rod Edmondson / Rachael's Road to Recovery - Anorexia as a Midlife Crisis

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
No dummy, your gallbladder sludge isn't from your "short torso compressing organs" which isn't a thing. If you don't eat (especially fats) your gallbladder doesn't eject bile into your gut. This leads to bile sitting around getting all thick and goopy (sludge) and can lead to stone formation or cholecystitis.

Her insistence that all of these very common physical side effects of anorexia are unrelated to her eating disorder is bizarre.

  • She thinks that ACUTE euthanizes patients with eating disorders?? We're through the looking glass, people.
This is her putting a really self-serving spin on this paper by Jennifer L. Gaudiani, which is basically about offering palliative care to patients with extremely severe and long-lasting eating disorders who haven't responded to multiple rounds of intensive treatment and aren't willing to undergo more treatment, but are deemed to have capacity to decline further treatment knowing that it will likely result in their death.

(Gaudiani doesn't even work at ACUTE anymore, which makes this excuse for not going there extra lol)

Huh. I wonder if Ashley is receiving palliative care.

That would be because they are fentanyl addicts

the only thing Rod is addicted to is huffing his own farts

Public recovery isn't a good idea for anorexics, period. By posting on social media, they automatically have to focus on their bodies when taking pictures, sending their fans their weigh in, et cetera. While this one is clearly in it for the grift, there are others who genuinely think it's a good idea and end up making their disorders worse. The worst is when parents help them run these recovery blog. If you're a parent looking after a teenager or young adult recovering from an eating disorder, you want to get their focus off of obsessing over food and their body.

Thread bump, the last couple of videos reached my feed and I couldn't help but recoil at what I was hearing. I'll be shocked if she survives surgery.
Thanks, I don’t understand Tor and am too lazy to put in the effort to figure it out so I can only wait til news of a mirror shuffles my way these days.

God what an absolute smooth brain she is. A) they probably never took the thing out because her weight is too low to safely perform that procedure; b) how urgent can this be if she had to doctor shop to find someone who would “move on the ultrasound”, and the one doctor she did find isn’t scheduling it until a week(?) out; c) I love how she still keeps blaming symptoms of her ED on this.

Drink every time she mentions edema!

I don’t think she’s afraid of surgery because she could die. I think she’s afraid of it because she might gain weight while hospitalized. $30 bucks says she discharges AMA because the hospital staff demands she eats a fucking pudding cup and thus is trying to kill her via refeeding syndrome.

Whoever is doing her anesthesia is gonna shit their pants when they see her.

You could just use Brave browser on laptop. It gives you the option to open a new tab with a tor connection. Or simply download Tor Browser on phone or laptop. You can't have to do anything in terms of setting up at all. Just open the browser, it will automatically connect.

If you’re on iPhone download Orbot, press START and once connect just open your phone browser.

Here’s the farms onion link for future lost lambs:

Why is she still wearing a mask? And one with a plastic insert? They are completely ineffective against viruses, and by now even she should know that. Does she think she’s covering up her face? Then why the plastic insert? The danger hair is tragic.

Lord, all Ana’s are weird but this one particularly so.

It's been a while since the thread was updated, and I got curious.

According to the most recent YouTube video, she's been sick with C-Diff, which resulted in her losing any weight she'd gained... hmmkay, sure.
I love the mixed upper/lower case video title. Anyone else think they're just taking the piss? That first comment is a banger too.

She mentions her husband fries, I mean dyes her hair for her. Other than that, she mostly just talks in circles for the duration.

Thought I'd throw this one in as well. Perfect horror version of “How it started vs. how it's going”, all wrapped up in three pictures thanks to the next video.

Yikes.

That makes sense about the warped image. It just shocks me still since over eating makes more sense—it’s like a drug high. The initial intake of food they like gives a massive dopamine rush that they can justify coming back for more. I wonder if Anorexics get that same rush when they see noticeable weight loss.
I always got the impression that instead of a high, they got a reduction in their anxiety, which is otherwise overwhelming. the unfortunate thing about anxiety disorders is that doing anything besides facing the source of the fear & tolerating the emotion results in escalating behaviors, it always makes things worse.

There's convincing evidence that starvation reinforces restriction behaviors by stimulating dopaminergic neurons. It's not the weight loss that becomes addictive, and people often misunderstand the function of dopamine.

Welp, we have a new FAFO. She has now joined the great skellies in the sky
From her facebook page, she's spending her first day in heavem:

I believe in addition to the dopamine effects mentioned above, the body produces huge adrenaline rushes to try to give you the energy to go and get food. It is a noticeable rush, comparable to use of strong stimulants.

I couldn't find a reference confirming its an adrenaline rush so may be wrong, but its a definite rush. Completely unpredictable in when it will arise but provides a lot of motivation for the sick mind to continue anorexic behaviours.
