It's disappointing that their breakup drama really ended up in a wet fart because Spoon was so quick to go crawling back.

Shows how pathetic a lot of these Internet Tough Guy misogynists really are IRL when they actually have to put up or shut up.

It also shows how dangerous it can be to jump on the bandwagon of one of these dustups to take a side as a fellow creator when there's always the possibility that one of the aggrieved parties will simply go right back to the arms of their abuser like a battered wife after venting and crying their eyes out.

Vex Electronica, who is Spoon's backup brown Aydin, jumped on Spoon's Rumble stream trashing Aydin before the makeup. I'm not sure if she said anything particularly damaging, but it would be very easy to be left holding the bag when you try to be supportive of your pal by shitting on their ex, only to have them turn around the next week and pretend nothing ever happened.

Scrumpmonkey seems to have navigated this more carefully. Both Spoon and Aydin mentioned Scrump as a friend who mediated behind the scenes, but I never actually came across him actually opining on the melee publicly.

I was so disgusted by how Spoon was such a cuck about their whole finances dustup, immediately DFE and caving with a nonsensical explanation (There was a monetization button?!?) and running back to their podcast the following week not addressing anything with his tail between his legs.

While continuing to use his "I apologize for nothing" outro sounder.

I won't be following any of their content anymore (well, until some point in the future where I forget why I'm unsubcribed).

It's too bad because they did have some good takes and do exist in a political/ideological space that doesn't have a lot of representation.
