I miss the PCP, specifically the pre mass-troonouting PCP (Nate era).
I'm actually listening to the Final Fantasy lecture as I sporadically catch up on this thread and it really does make the heart heavy to know this group psycho autists have scattered to the winds and at least a third of them have have trooned out in the wake of it all.

All I can say is, Nate deserved better friends.

Nate was also the most normal looking of the PCP if we are being honest

Oh yeah, the dude actually took care of himself. He's probably the only guy who got out of bed, took a shower and got dressed for the lecture videos. Dunno if all that could be attributed to the fact that he had a job in programming at the time but it's telling that working in a professional capacity has kept him from drinking the NEET troonaid to this day.

backtracking his stances on Lolicon because of the culture of anime and how it shifted so much from 2016/17
It's funny how this aligns a lot with my theory that the reason we're seeing so much anti-pedo stuff now is just pure virtue signaling by people who are actually into that stuff. You see it time and time again but digibro here is really the funniest example of trying to be anti-loli now. People should be anti-loli but the fact that the anime culture is SO anti-anything that can be considered "pedophilia" just looks like it's way too try hard. "nah bro i'm totally not a pedo bro, you're the actual pedo you find this adult looking 17 year old from a video game hot! TWITTER, DO YOUR THANG!"
Digi was never special or important for doing that
You're missing the point. Digi IS special for doing that, why? Because he actually did it. You can say how anyone could have done what he did but the fact is, at least for anime analysis, who was? He was there, he actually did it, he had a decent talking voice and decent editing. His competitors were extremely low brow people like mothers basement or gigguk who made very safe content that appealed to the lowest common denominator. Not to make it sound like digi's videos were high IQ but like others said he was willing to call out absolute garbage for what it was even if it was popular which would be pure blasphemy for his competitors who wouldn't want to piss off their audience of retards. Digi deserves some credit for being one of the few people online making content that tried to properly critic anime and even brought lesser known anime to peoples attention back when anitube was practically still in it's infancy. It's easy to sit on the sidelines and go "pfft yeah well I could've done that!" but the fact is you didn't and you won't. That being said, digi obviously inflates his ego way too much over this stuff even back then with how much he was obsessed over calling himself a "gonzo journalist".

Unlike others who might have some skeletons in the closet from years ago on old private DMs. Digi was very very much open about his attraction to Loli. Even before Loli became known outside of the weeb/anime sphere, he was known for the Loli shit. As mentioned before he is backtracking because, in a small chance he will revive his channel, he doesn't want his Loli shit to come up, but seeing how trans people are with that type of stuff, I doubt he stopped.

Alot of people who got into anime post covid try their hardest to be morally right and try to be moral about liking certain characters. I don't even like Loli myself but retards online are pushing to stop everything in general, even the word Waifu.

How is this Nate faggot any better than Digi?
1. He lifts.
2. He's funny.
3. He's not a tranny.

(I haven't watched the video, I don't care about anime lol)

I remember watching this guy's anime videos when I was in high school. He went from someone who looks like they belong in The Hangover (and with some genuine hangups but nowhere near as bad as he is now) to some weird ass looking grifting mid-life crisis yoga teacher sodomite that doesn't respect boundaries.

Rhetorically, what in the fuck happened to him? Also, TheQuarterPounder living rent free in his head is funny for some reason.

The short answer is that Digi never wanted to grow up. Digi has spent his entire life avoiding work, and asking people to lift him out of his problems. The only reason he made it as far as he did, was because he had a brilliant passion for anime and wasn't afraid to shine a light on sleezy otaku culture. While relating it to Melinnial and Zoomer anxieties.

However, after that time he moved to Boston to form the content house, he became more and more disillusioned with his job. His breaking point was when him and May went on their week long drug bender, and it ended with May going to a mental hospital. At the time, it was the "worst moment of Digi's life" and slowly he began wearing a skirt, before eventually just fully trooning out. Since then, Digi has been desperate for someone to "man-up" and take care of him instead.

Although, Bird and his gaggle of wiggers haven't done anything of note since they adopted Digi. Which is why Digi is now forcing himself into whatever fandom or group he can fit into. Digi's still in denial about burning his career for almost nothing, and it's likely that he'll eventually kill himself once he squanders his parent's inheritance after they die.

Digi is afraid of success because it would mean having to be responsible for something and meet people's expectations. Lots of lolcows have this trait; Contrapoints refuses to work with a film crew and insists on doing everything independently to avoid any form of accountability. Digi was happier than ever during the hobo saga because it was zero responsibility. He won't kill himself when his inheritence runs out; he'll just live in his little bubble happy that he doesn't have to do anything but be a big useless lump.

If you want to consider YouTube a job, which in today's age it is, he had one, and had a very privileged position seeing the types of content and income he made back before Covid. Bird and the crew have done nothing since. Bird is married to Digi I guess, haven't heard anything from Riley, and I know Mint does OF now (check her Twitter) but that's about it. They just used him for his money and dipped once that dried up. I want to say I can understand the position of him not knowing what to do, if I had a lighting-in-a-bottle moment and then fucked it up, I wouldn't know how to rebuild, especially with how he fucked himself over the past 5 years

The Jonah Complex, that and I think lack of accountability on their end, and maybe autism.

Digi has the mierdas touch.

The furries'll take him!
All internet flotsam eventually winds up on that sticky shore.

Late update: Digi has released "Sympathy For Digibro Fans", Feb 21, 2025:
"I don't know why"

um, because you made videos that got really popular, for a niche audience of anime losers. you were/are an anime loser, acted like you were better than that, stopped making anime videos without giving your fans a chance to download them, went insane and tried to be a woman, smoke weed and live out of an RV, then realized there was only one thing you were ever good at, and came back to making anime videos for the same fucking audience on the same fucking channel.

if you were trying to get rid of your previous fans as best you can, then you would first and foremost, stop uploading to the channel those fans subscribed to.

Digibro's videos were never good analysis.
All his analysis was either

A) just generalized statements that something was good or bad without any well argued explanation for why but with enough flowery language to sound smart

B) incessant nitpicking about plotholes or coincidence that you could criticize any story for if you really wanted to, thou some stories suffer far worse from these issues than others

C) plot synopsis

D) these kind of parasocial attachment-building videos were he was really talking about his childhood and teenage years but with whatever anime he was watching at that time thrown in.

His fans only liked him because he became their role model/Friendship replacement and the larger idea he represented, I.e. the losers who turns his, otherwise useless, media obsession into a living and even gets a girl.

Also the shilling for BestGuyEver is cringe considering he never broke of his friendship with Digibro, if anything it only became deeper as time went on, despite Digibro being an open lolicon.

Alot of his later videos before he became a trannie were good and talked about topics within Anime I thought were interesting. The Anime within Anime video and History of Akihabara video are pretty good and standout to me.

He mainly became popular with the SAO video and when he talked about currently running anime after that slowly ran dry in views but still made decent video topics.

Me also think that another reason why he had a lot of followers at the time was because of his psychology and what he thought, this can be seen in his After Dark channel but also some slipups with May and his brother at the time
