Anyone noticed the avalanche of adverts now on Meerkats/WPIGs/TBS streams recently?

ALT has said it happens automatically on WPIG due to the music he uses but with the increase on Meerkats and TBS I’m not so sure.

To be fair - I have zero issue with people getting money for their time. It’s just I’ll watch you a lot less as I cant listen in the gym or on a run as I don’t have adblocker on my work phone (and the number of adverts is insane).

I’m also inclined to marginally trust someone slightly less if they take a stand against monetising then do it later. But those guys are funny and can obviously do whatever they want on their channel.

I have adblocker everywhere except the TV/xbox so I cant say, but on the TV/Xbox I've only seen ads in the beginning of the stream, I haven't seen midrolls from what I can remember.

I don't really care for it though unless I'm getting 30 second unskippables and it feels exploitative. Then I might lose my shit.

Because when Phil starts calling out the trolls for being losers, the loser trolls feel rightfully called out and have to scramble to explain how they're actually not losers

What are some other detractor streamers that are maybe not as big or only stream occasionally or are newer? I don't necessarily care if it's a live restream or not. I'm willing to give some more a try outside of my usual Tevin, Meerkat, Brandood, WPIG rotation.

Have you checked out Dick Stroking Phil Vlogs?

They do highly edited style videos of Phil's streams. They've been around awhile, but I didn't see you list them.

I disagree, you can clearly hear that most of the guests are disconnected and genuinely not enjoying these segments. That is usually when Meerkat's energy plummets until it is over. The only one who seems to genuinely engage with these silly games is Steve.

I like the games on TBS. Theyre relatively short and just mix up the routine. Can’t just keep playing Phillip videos. A bit like when they do the icebergs or the roulette.

I think the games on WPIG (like family fortunes) are the worst but then they’re clearly labelled and I don’t have to watch them.
