Listening to Kson's stream right now. Said she's planning to keep it to her own personal situation and not speak for any other talents. I'll update as it goes.
She said her plans were even before mouses stuff, that she was going to be leaving Vshojo this month on the 31st. For the same reasons being that she hasn't been getting paid. Said things were generally fine until about September of last year. since then her payments have stopped and just kept getting told "it's coming"
Said she waited that long thinking that if she just quit and walked away that they'd just never pay up that money. Says she's going to have Vshojo's JP CEO explain the situation because she's streamed with him before.
Getting emotional and crying because she feels like an idiot for doing streams to explain all the good things about vshojo in the past because she feels like she was lied to.
First question for the JP CEO "are you still the CEO" his answer "for now"
CEO will be sticking to Japanese as he wants to be careful about what he says because it's obviously a delicate legal situation and doesn't want to accidentally say something wrong in English
Starts out covering his ass a bit, says that it's probably not even wise that he's on the stream as he's still affiliated with the company, and if he says something wrong it could affect not only just himself but other talents as well, Says if there's things he can't answer it may be because of that or it could just be that he doesn't know, and being unable to answer those things doesn't mean he agrees with the company on them. Since it's an EN headquarters issue and despite being "JP CEO" he doesn't have much to do with the actual operations of the company. Says he is more a figurehead to coordinate projects in Japan and with Japanese talent.
KSon asks "is it fair to say that Vshojo EN and JP are VERY different and that he wasn't connected to what's been going on.
He says it depends on the project.
Kson asks him to explain the current situation.
He gives a general summary, Ironmouse, like Kson, say they are owed payment as well as a charity has not received money.
Kson states the amount missing from the charity, 500k, which would constitute embezzlement.
He doesn't touch that assertion. instead saying it's a matter of where the money has gone to. Which he believes it went to "operational costs"
Kson asks if he's known about this going on for a while
He says he only became aware of it a few weeks ago but there wasn't much of anything he could do from the Japanese side and he couldn't look into the main company's finances himself. And was himself trying to question the company about how they were going to cover these payments.
Some talk from CEO about how everything runs through the EN side as far as money goes, he can only see the JP side's finances and that the JP side was doing well.
Kson immediately interjects with questioning why she hasn't been paid then. and restates that she's quitting Vshojo as of today. How can things be going well with the JP finances if she's not being paid.
He says on the JP side if talents are leaving they will be directing existing contracts with sponsorships and deals and stuff so that the money will go to the JP talent directly rather than the company.
She then turns the question to "Why did this all happen"
He says he doesn't know much but suspects the EN side has been to lax in handling their finances and this was the result of negligence rather than incompetence.
Kson asks him if he's been getting paid still
He says his salary was cut in half at the start of the year.
Kson replies saying "talents first my ass" when staff are getting paid and the talents aren't
CEO saying there's talk that the finances of JP and EN should just be completely separated so that JP talents getting paid isn't dependent on the EN headquarters.
Kson asks "So will my owed money be paid"
CEO: That depends on of the EN side of the company can recover but I don't think chances are good.
Kson questiosn why the company has been adding more talents if they were already not paying existing talents. Did they think they'd bring in the revenue to pay outstanding debts?
CEO says he doesn't think they thought that far ahead.
Kson saying this all should have been able to be avoided, things didn't need to get to this point and asks if anyone was raising alarm bells trying to stop things from reaching this point.
He says that whenever they hire new talent or staff the company has profit/loss measures and as long as they assume it will result in a profit they get approved to add more staff/talent.
Kson says that whoever approved that must have just been lying then because it hasn't been true.
Kson asks what will happen to NOVA the new JP talents.
He says he's going to try to do his best for the talents under his care (Henya, Kson, and the new girls) he doesn't know how much time he has left at the company but he's going to try to do anything he can in whatever time there is to do things like redirect their sponsorship contracts to pay directly to the talents etc.
Says Henya and Kson should be fine to continue as indies and that their managers can stay with them as independents. The Nova girls got a "that might be difficult" because apparantly they aren't "in the black yet" which I'd guess means they haven't earned enough to pay off their models and stuff yet or something. but still says he'll do anything he can for them.
Kson says there's no sense blaming the JP CEO over everything and that the company needs to make an apology / statement, asks him if there will be one.
He just says he'd hope so (he had also said earlier that the company PR team was still scrambling to issue a statement)
