LMAO, you're not wrong that he's "happier" when he's oppressed, but it's not necessarily an oppression kink.

If you work making coffins for people, whenever someone dies, it's convenient for you. Because of it, you can pay bills and feed yourself and your family. Doesn't mean it makes you "happy", but for certain jobs, tragedies are how they make a living.

Spandex's an activist for progressive views. In his mind, he's like a super hero answering to the Batsignal: "there is some injustice in this world? Time to wear the tight sanders and do my thing!" This gives him purpose in life, he's saving those poor kids from the evils of the world.

There are people who feel true joy helping others, but this ain't Smolder. This is about his own identity as a social justice super hero.

This is what gets me every time. They looked normal as kids (and all the way through high school, in fact). Look at Sander's eye shape and the placement of his eyebrows in the kid pic. His eyes aren't drooping down on the outside and his brows are completely horizontal rather than perma-raised at a sloping downward angle, giving him that perpetually astonished tard look as an adult. What happened? It's like parts of their faces stopped growing.

Your emotions do affect face development as crazy as it sounds. Your face is full of muscles and how strong those muscles are from use and how stretchy your tendons are will affect how they pull on your bones and affect your facial development. This is why shit like mouth breathing affects your face and why people often start looking alike when they've been married a long time as humans like to copy facial expressions. And why biologically similar people can start to look different when they speak different languages as the degree of use for speech-specific muscles change depending on the language. That's why your jaw can often hurt when you start learning to speak a new language.

You can even see it in extreme if you look at people who have disabilities. Turns out not needing to work your eye muscles causes blind people to have a 'look' to them. Heavy brow and hollowed eye sockets from lack of muscle use.
