I honestly thought that "no-dime-in-my-pocket" type of travel was becoming extinct...
To be clear, this is a young person's game.
I was going to leave that thread until something new came up (don't want to bury useful information under my own posts about this couple). I would tend to agree with ZeroZero here simply for the fact that Elora ended up in a refugee camp in Morocco where she had to pretend that she was a muslim woman after losing her passport, putting on a hijab, in order to be expatriated to Europe with other muslim migrants by the UN. I would say this probably crosses the line from being a careless young backpacker into dangerous behavior. Same goes with being homeless and looking for food in trashcans, I have been around backpackers and stayed at hostels when I was young and free in Europe, that is still a bit extreme for my taste. I have also seen pictures of her in that thread attending a protest completely naked and she appeared to be the only naked person at the protest and there are a bunch of men around her, snapping pictures of her while she smiles unconcerned as always (around page 69 if you're curious). I haven't shared those or brought that up because I didn't want people to jump to conclusions and I'm aware this helps JF's side of the story.
That being said I have my own thoughts on this. I think the stories that she told in the video might have been a little bit exaggerated. We have all been in these situation where we make old stories about our life sound more dangerous or exciting that they actually were. This is a big speculation but part of me also doesn't discount the fact that JF might have encouraged her to exaggerate these stories to make it sound like she was irresponsible. In that respect, it would be interesting to know when she recorded that video (all I could find was a re-upload).
I think in general, once she was with JF, she wasn't this person anymore. She was with a man that, she seemed to have loved (even though he didn't love her), she wanted to have his children, she was reportedly working a job and she ended up having two children with him. That changes a person. Of course, she might have had a longing for her previous life and the carefree existence she once led but as Sentient Cloud said, she wasn't actually retarded, she was aware of her age, she was in her 30's (not saying that's old!) and she had two kids
I have been around hippies and carefree women, once they find a man they love, they change. Hippies setlle down. I find it very very difficult to believe that a woman in her 30's with two kids and a husband would just decide to walk off to be a homeless drug addict. Where I agree with Sentient Cloud is that her backpacking adventures to Europe were just that, a trip. It wasn't a life choice. It was just a little adventure she had when she was young. If she really wanted to live like that, she would probably have gone back to Texas first, or found a commune in Canada, or travelled back to Europe, to the Netherlands for example to live with hippies on a farm. It's just weird that she would go, "yeah I want to be a homeless drugie... in Moncton, drop me at the bridge hubby". I initially thought that maybe she had suspected that JF didn't love her and she did this as a test and then either killed herself when she realised he actually didn't care (after the alleged 19 June 2023 last phone call to him) or got picked up by a predator and was killed (which happened frequently with homeless women especially if they are new to an area). I find these (depressing) possibilities less likely now that I have thought about it because again she had 2 kids and also having watched more of JF's stream in April and May I find his behavior and words suspicious (especially the fact that she was 'punished' and then she was gone).
Another thing that I might as well mention now, is the last known sighthing on 19 June 2023 in the context of the special police power given to the police under the Prince Edward Island Missing Persons Act. I am 90% sure that there is no CCTV footage of Elora in Moncton on that date. In fact I don't think the police even used GPS data to confirm where she was. All the speculations made about this stem from the police report which says they were planning to use their new power under the 2021 Act in order to confirm the sighthing - as far as I'm aware, the police never stated they actually did so. In fact I went and checked as many press reports I could find and the police report and I couldn't find a confirmation that the police had actually checked CCTV footage or even GPS data. I also used an AI to scan for articles and their content, and despite multiple attempts, no confirmation either. In fact, this seem to be a misunderstanding as a result of this Yahoo article:
So it seems that some journo said that the police had the ability to check GPS data and surveillance footage and eveybody went "well they probably did, then".

It seems to be a place where homeless people can be found. On Google street view, I could see a one-legged lady that looked homeless. It's incredibly desolate.

There is no CCTV camera on google street view but the images are from 2019 so I did some research and the city did install CCTV cameras in this area but these weren't fitted until July 2023, so when Elora went missing there was no CCTV camera on that street, period. As people have already pointed out, if there are GPS data, it's plausible this was planted by JF who was not streaming and not accounted for between 17 June and 20 June 2023. If he did kill here he would have had her phone and could have just thrown it there from his car towards the homeless camp.
So homeless people + no CCTV is your sighthing.
