Going to try and start archiving Owen’s tweets as Beartaria 3 concludes. I think he’s using some text-to-speech program because nearly every post contains run-on sentences.
Here’s one from September 2nd in which he claims his cult is not a cult but American Football sports fans are a cult: https://nitter.poast.org/OwenBenjamin/status/1830707122646008111#m

So let me get this straight, and I’m only asking for clarity to help me understand. So, according to some people, me and the bears are a “cult.” But these bears are NOT a cult.
Imagine if my audience spent 295 dollars for a uniform with a number and my name on the back. 40 dollars to park. And another 200 dollars to sit on a small uncomfortable slab in the cold. While they sit there I encourage them to drink poison that disorients them, and leads to violence, prison, organ failure, and death. The food I offer them is a hardened paste that consists of the discarded lips, entrails, and eye balls of a pig in bread soaked in bleach. My fans then watched grown men violently attack each other all while they’re encouraged to gamble on the rigged outcome. After 3 hours are forced to leave and back into their cars in which many of them will be driving in a state of consciousness that’s felony DUI.
Ok, so that is NOT a cult. But me, a guy who puts on a festival who’s ticket proceeds go to buy the land itself, which is cheaper than 1 NFL ticket, with all natural food and hydrating, healthy beverages and a fun family experience IS a cult? None of my merch has me or my name on it and has either funny or uplifting messages. I encourage people to grow their families and businesses and I help any way I can. Compared to mainstream comedy my show is exponentially funnier and more wholesome and talented members of the community are encouraged to share their gifts and sell their products.
What am I missing? I’d really like to understand if I possibly don’t know what a cult means. I always thought it was exploitative, damaging, and surrounding a narcissistic many times perverse leader. Like all the owners of NFL teams who openly claim they’ve replaced Americas church.
Feel free to comment and help me understand. Thank you
