Honestly I love watching porn addicts ruin their lives too. Porn addicts are utterly insufferable - like, I don't like any kind of addict, but at least heroin addicts or something are dealing with a substance that genuinely is hyper addictive to anyone who tries it. No amount of defense for the gooners will convince anyone in this thread that porn addiction hasn't congregated some of the worst people possible.

You can take a look back in the past, and every fucking time some major leak regarding some of the worst shit possible, it's always within small communities of the internet, where it seems innocent enough until you actually read what's going on. It's a very basic principle and I would wager that everybody in this thread has personally gone through this exact thing, in varying levels of extremity. For the vast majority of people, they don't have the willpower to pull themselves out of this. For most, once the genie is out of the bottle, it can't be put back in.

The biggest issue with this is you're too loosely using the word addiction, even the people who claim to be addicted aren't necessarily, it's like how people throw around the terms sociopath, schizo and autist, pretty rarely do any of the targets of these words actually fit the medical criteria so when you then try to follow up with "this is the natural progress of an addict" in order to justify your rage and hatred of persons who aren't actually addicts it becomes childish. There are people who throw around the term "video game addiction" just as loosely, people who play for several hours a day every day, an activity which also releases dopamine and feel good chemicals, do those people keep looking more and more intense highs? Are people who pour thousands of hours into violent video games at a high risk of eventually becoming actually violent to get that next hit? Obviously not.
