I hate these remaining RLM oldtroons so fucking much I hope they all die EXTREMELY painful fucking deaths gfor handing this franchise over on a silver platter to DShitsney with their ENDLESS fucking WHINING AND COMPLAIING over the most MUDNANE shit, KILL YOURSELVES RIGHT NOW RLM OLDTROONS
That's why I hate them more than Disney. At this point, Disney was just trying to appease them when they deleted most of the EU (because Chewie died in NJO) and tried to go for copying the OT with TFA and paying an homage to it with Rogue One.

Disney are just corporate appeasers; they follow trends. They went with OT tributes, then SJW stuff with TLJ, then Filoniverse stuff, then Antifa-style Gilroy stuff, because it's what's popular. The people that got Lucas to sell were the endless chorus bitching about how bad he was.

He kind of looks like Khomenei as well.
He basically became Jedi Khomeini once Outbound Flight got far enough from the Republic. Ironically enough, he was also a friend of Palpatine. Kind of ironic that Palpatine sent one of the few Jedi who considered him a friend to a one-way trip that ended with a body bag.

If I were Palps, I would've kept Jorus around. Hell, make him part of Order 66 and have him splinter off a group of Jedi who'd be loyal to the Empire. Once Anakin wipes out the Jedi loyal to the Council, I'd have Jorus declare that the Jedi Council under Yoda were traitors, and I'd put Jorus in charge of a new Jedi Order and a new Jedi Council. That way, we'd keep the Jedi as tools of the state, and Jorus is more than willing to make "moral compromises" in order to get things done. He's a lot like Mandalorian Wars Revan, except older and with more knowledge of the Force. He's exactly the kind of Jedi that the Sith would find to be very useful.

And given how Jorus views Force-users as innately superior to non-Force-users, (think Vegeta from Dragon Ball and how he sees Saiyans as superior to humans) I don't think he'd object to a Sith ruling the galaxy, especially if that Sith happens to be his buddy. Jorus' idea of what the Jedi should be were basically Sith in all but name.

The RLM Oldtroons don't even like the final movie of their original trilogy, nor the novelizations of said trilogy. They really are impossible to truly please.

Or maybe it's because the kids grew up, now have access to the net, and can now gurgle their own opinions to counter the older guys who were old enough to have seen the OT first. I mean, that IS what happened with the prequels. Well that and the lowering quality of film forcing people to reframe what they actually are given how fucktastically bad the new offerings are.

Same logic for why people either liked Alien or Aliens more; it's usually which one they saw first as a kid.

Nope. The Prequels were written by fucking boomers. Also, the boomers enjoyed the Prequels. It's the Gen X kids who grew up with the OT who hated the PT, but people who saw the OT as adults didn't have much hatred for the PT.

My folks were already adults when 1977 came and the first Star Wars movie hit theaters. They then saw the Prequels in 1999-2005 and had no problems with them. They looked at Yoda jumping around while fighting and loved it. When I was young, my folks sent me a ton of Phantom Menace toys, and they also came out of the theater from AOTC and ROTS rather fulfilled.

Is this "old guard", the same one filled with Star Trek fanboy boomers and boomer enslaved Gen Xers?
Yes. Guys like the Nostalgia Critic who hated the PT loved TCW.

So... the people who don't really have much ability to post online and at best use facebook since it's before their time, and thus validating my point?

Again, note the pivot on this idea really only starting that after the sequels showing that no, they weren't as bad as they could have been.

They have more than enough abilities to post online. Most of my boomer family members are well-acquainted with the internet. Hell, they taught me how to use it when I was a kid.

False. It was a minority of people whining about how bad the Prequels were. The fans defended them, the normies didn't care. The normies saw them in the same vein as Terminator or Commando; just a fun flick where shit blew up. The fans, the real fans, defended them despite the backlash from critics and angry internet people.

The idea that the Prequels weren't as bad gained traction after the ST blew up with TLJ, but there were always people countering the narrative that the PT was bad. It's just that the PT haters were really, really loud and annoying, so debating them just became pointless.

We have to kill the remaining RLM Oldtroons for their fucking faggotry and selling out of this franchise on a silver platter.
No need. Let them drown in Filoniverse slop; it's what they deserve. After all, they pretty much believe Filoni "redeemed" the Prequels.

The ONE thing I will EVER give Star Wars Theory credit for is his ardent defense of the sequels and Anakin as a character.

I never saw the Prequels as bad; the most I saw them as were boom-fiestas with a message. Kind of like a GI Joe episode with a message like "don't do drugs", except on the silver screen, with space battles and lightsabers. In this case, the Prequels taught us to not trust government blindly, to know that perception doesn't always equal reality, and that we shouldn't think with our dicks. It was a morality play with lightsabers and explosions, and for what they were worth, I had my fill. If I wanted something deeper, I'd boot up KOTOR or read Heir to the Empire.

I still think that Jedi Celibacy is absolutely retarded, especially in the face of something like Order 66, where most people with the special Midichlorian Genes were killed off, but yeah, I also got the message that Palpatine was meant to be the Antichrist in those movies.

And yet the bigger pivot in the fanbase to reframing and accepting the Prequels seemed to really only kick in around a decade after the prequels came out, and when TFA came out. It's also when the side materials and games that showed its best side came out and wrapped up, as well as having Dave's Fanfic rolling in. This would also be when the kids who saw them would be old enough to actually talk about why they really liked the Prequels online. That IMO makes more sense.

In fairness, I'm railing on this because there's a point where the "fan backstab" concept is a retarded take and why I call it the "Dolchstoßlegende" when it gets focused on too hard. It comes off as doing sweeping work for the execs for free, and those guys don't need that shit. They all have fuck-you money and are the ones who chose to do the thing that made this IP dead and gay.

It also removes the true blame from the actors that actually are involved, which was a mixture of Hollywood, Kathy, Bob, and even Lucas a bit since he failed to find an heir after he slowed down and got old. Blame the main lot (barring George, who just felt creatively deprived and likely saw his buddy Spielburg losing his touch in why he stepped back) for being dumb enough to listen to drunks from Moocow Land. And blame them for hating you and hoping you die screaming when they got pissed that converting it into winemom princess brands failed.

And I say this as someone who sees the audience as fent junkies who deserve to shove AIDS needles in their eyes and OD on the toilet, the dealer spitting on them for buying drain cleaner disguised as product. I just also tend to blame the "creatives" for when said product sucks, and the only thing you can blame the fent abusers is in buying it with watch time.

So... is it true that J. J. Abrams gave C-3PO a red arm in TFA as a reference to MGSV? I remember I heard that somewhere and I tought it was retarded.
Nah, it was to make money on merchandising and toys since Lucas would've otherwise gotten paycheck from it due to the royalties deals. It's thought that their choice to make crappier looking aliens and refusing to show any of them but Chewbacca and in rare background shots is done for the same reasoning.

Jedi weren't celibate. Lucas himself noted it during the Prequel era. If you get married and have an emotional attachment with a spouse, the Council would BTFO you, even if you both remained virgins until you died. But if you just got drunk one day, splurged your load in a whorehouse, and got some women pregnant, and you forgot about them the next day, the Council would still be OK with you. They might send agents to that whorehouse to check for Force-sensitive babies down the line, but they won't be angry with you in the least.

Palpatine was every bad guy Lucas can think of. He's the Devil, Richard Nixon, Julius Caesar, Adolf Hitler, Napoleon, the works.

Not quite. Most fans were OK with the Prequels and didn't really mind them. They very much enjoyed Prequel media and bought all the Clone Wars multimedia project shit, which shows that they did enjoy the Prequel era and wanted to know more about it. That was during the time of 1999-2005, around the time the Prequels were coming out. So when the PT was coming out, the fans gobbled up the media around it, which shows that it wasn't that hated by the actual fanbase that paid good money for SW merchandise.

Dave's fanfic rolled in 3 years after the Clone Wars Multimedia Project ended. That's why it felt so unnatural to the canon.

The execs were just whoring out to the PT haters, but that fizzled out after Rogue One. Then they whored out to the SJWs with TLJ, and it failed. Then they whored out to Filoniverse people, and that worked for a time. Then they whored out to ANTIFAs with Andor.

The execs basically BTFO'd the SWEU because Chewie died in it, and they knew the PT haters didn't give a rip about the SWEU. Every time the EU gets brought up to defend the Prequels, the PT haters plug their ears and say that if it's not in the film, it doesn't matter. Even though the films were made for the fans who did consume these products; not just normies.

It also removes the true blame from the actors that actually are involved, which was a mixture of Hollywood, Kathy, Bob, and even Lucas a bit since he failed to find an heir after he slowed down and got old. The actors who were truly to blame were the PT haters. Hell, if they weren't so loud, Lucas might not have quit, and you'd get a Sequel Trilogy that instead tries to go for new ground with Maul as some Godfather-esque villain. We'd at least have something new, instead of a re-tread of ANH without the soul.

And I say this as someone who sees the audience as fent junkies who deserve to shove AIDS needles in their eyes and OD on the toilet, the dealer spitting on them for buying drain cleaner disguised as product.
Blaming the corporate state for the state of the audience belies the fact that the corpos are just appeasers. They want the money, so they follow the loudest voice in the room. And at the time of the Disney SW purchase, that was the PT haters. It's the same reason behind the woke corporate bullshit years ago; they saw a ton of morons on Twitter spouting woke bullshit and thought the money was there.

Maul as some Godfather-esque villain
I'd probably hate that too, but that's mostly because I find Maul to be hideously overrated due to character design. Like moreso than Boba Fett which is saying a lot. I tend to not be wowed solely by looks or flash, so it'd have to win me with the story... which given how manichaean George got near the end with villains and this being essentially a crime lord story and it being long after his prime? Not seeing it.

It'd at least have a lot more segments I'd like that's for damn sure. Like I'd take three flawed movies over endless trash.
Luke and Mara are a power couple and Lucas can go suck off a Kike
Also genuinely true, given Lucas didn't like Luke getting laid. And he did with his buddy Spielburg long before Iger. Also thank Steve for both Abrams and Zegler last I checked... :tomgirl:
