Ben taking over as host for DP and continuing to use the name after the falling out is like if the Beatles broke up but Ringo kept touring as the Beatles without anyone else from the original lineup. Ben had his moments but people were there for Paul and TJ not him.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I loved the Drunken Peasants (the actual one not the shitty zombie DP that was the Ben and Billy era) but I honestly felt like it had run it's course by the time it ended. A lot of the in jokes and topics were run into the ground 100 times over by 2017 when it ended. You can only make so many "Brett Keane is a fat retard who says situation" jokes. It really felt like many of the in jokes, segments and commentary was stale and something needed to radically change which it did with DFF.

I think everyone feels that way. It was one of the many complaints being made on the subreddit. To the Peasants credit, they were trying to find new personalities to watch and new content to explore. The problem was that lost how to do it organically they way they originally did when first starting the podcast. They were basically trying to start random conflicts with people hoping they would be the next Brett or Tommy Sotomayor. They all didn't pan out for a wide variety of reasons.

People like Brett and a lot of the other original cows they milked were all lightning in a bottle that they couldn't quite recapture. At least not in the way they were trying to by forcing it.

You are never going to reclaim what you lost. The reasons why you won't retire is because you love attention and you can't afford it. You blew through all the money you made at your peak thinking it would never end, and now that it has you have nothing to fall back on. No one would hire you even if you wanted to work. Which you are incapable of doing because you're both lazy and a drug addict.

We all know he never will change. He's been doing this BS for almost 20 years and if he thinks he can keep milking it, even a little, he won't stop. The only way that he will ever change is if his entire youtube career implodes and his fanbase leaves him. Seeing how the pedophilia allegations have gone nowhere, I can only really see that happen if, say, DFF goes under (which it's slowly doing) or he and Paul have a falling out. Paul, for all his faults, at least balances out TJ in the DFF podcast. If it's down to TJ and his brother, it would just become the TJ show since Scotty isn't capable of carrying anything on his own. TJ is doomed to a slow, downward spiral on the internet. He'll never go anywhere, and he'll never do anything meaningful with his life because he will always be afraid of being an adult. Doing that would mean owning up to his mistakes.

I disagree with this. TJ can be genuinely funny when he goes all in and is willing to shit on all sides. I think he could have found a niche in newtube by just being a court jester who would make fun of all sides and also himself. That was what made the first couple years of DP so incredible. He understands funny very well.

He had a great balance during DP, it was starting to tilt back left in the first couple years of DFF but it was still funny. Then in 2020 with the lockdowns and riots, and it becoming very clear that the new youtube grift was full left he decided to go full left. No more making fun of trannies under any circumstances, no more shitting on obnoxious protestors, no more shitting on islam, trust *the science* etc. And he started sucking vaush's cock, that was really the end for me.

It just makes for bad content. Trannies are an inherently funny concept and TJ used to understand this very well, this was one of my favorite segments:
