Class of 99's cover of Another Brick in the Wall from The Faculty soundtrack is a song that's really grown on me over the years and I've probably listened to it now more times than even the Floyd version. Layne Staley from Alice in Chains on vocals and Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine on guitar.

I'm going to be forgiving and assume that the absence of J.G. Thirlwell within this thread is due to an embed refusing to load for me or an illegal upload of one of his songs getting taken down in the five years the thread has existed. That said, this man drives me up a wall:

Damn this threads kind of dead. Anyways a long time ago I go this Front Line Assembly album collection in a file swap. I have no idea where to start other than Millenium which I liked. Anyone wants to give me some recommendations on what albums are worth listening to?

Gashed Senses and Crossfire, Caustic Grip, Tactical Neural Implant and Hard Wired are all pretty great.

Gashed Senses and Crossfire, Caustic Grip
Good to know, since I have their entire discography from Nerve War to Wake Up The Coma and I only really listened to Tactical Neural Implant (GOAT) and Millenium. My teacher from trade school introduced me to FLA and Laibach, and obviously the gateway to FLA was Mindphaser.

Anyways, I think And One somewhat fits in the EBM genre as well, so I'll post it here.

There's been some online kvetching about Steve Naghavi being an anti-vaxxer during COVID and him supporting the orange man (bad), but if you listen to some of And One's songs from way before 2020, it seems that Steve has always been on that redpill.

Seven from Tanzomat (2011)
>Seven came down without a sound
>Rich man company
>WTC mystery
>Black hands, happy crows

Speaks for itself. The entire song is not only a reference to 9/11, but also hints about some of the conspiracy theories surrounding it.

Synchronizing Bodies from Propeller (2014)
>Nero plays H.A.A.R.P. again
>The Bilderberg's are funny

Like goddamn Steve, I can only swallow so many redpills in one song.

Truly a based band, their songs are a bop, they'll drop some trvth nukes on you, and you'll piss off Redditors by listening to them. :story:

It's worth mentioning that songs like Synchronizing Bodies or Electrocution from Tanzomat (2011) have really strong Front 242 vibes. Especially Electrocution.
I remember playing a lot of Snowrunner listening to Front 242's discography so I got their style permanently burned into my mind. Listen to 3:02 and tell me that doesn't sound like Front 242. The repeated line buildup with the fourth repeat being louder and higher in pitch, to that drop with that sharp trumpet synth and that odd "tch-tch-tch-tch" behind it all. It has Front 242 written all over it. Great game+music combo btw, all those slow, rhythmic industrial beats playing as you slowly crawl through thick mud really fit the mood.

Electro-industrial/aggrotech isn't quite as popular as it once was but I still love it.
It occupies my playlists for the same reason, just too much fun. Makes a lot of indie label compilations goldmines given how a lot of it is self-released. Wouldn't have found one man Kazakhstani groups like this otherwise:

Latest earworm though is Ice Ages, love a lot of Richard Lederer's work since he has a great ear for this sort of thing:

Late 80s/early 90s is the sweet spot for anything industrial/EBM related in my opinion. When I look for new music to listen to, I go to Discogs - Releases - Albums and sort by date. It's a good start off point. Like the other guy said: Gashed Senses, Caustic Grip, Tactical Neural Implant and Hard Wired are all great. Although my all time favorite FLA song is from Corrosion:

No Einstürzende Neubauten?
Halber Mensch is such an amazing album. EN's peak IMO, though they were great for all the 80s. Alas this thread seems more concerned with the homosexual forms of "industrial music."
From that LP, "Seele brennt":
And from their first album Kollaps, "Tanz Debil":
