"A transgender woman has sued Princeton University claiming she was illegally removed shortly before her race in a school-hosted track meet in May due to her gender identity.

An attorney for Sadie Schreiner filed the complaint in New Jersey Superior Court on Tuesday, listing the school along with athletic director John Mack and director of track operations Kimberly Keenan-Kirkpatrick as defendants. The lawsuit also lists New York-based Leone Timing and Results Services as a defendant in its role of handling official timing for organized track and field events.

The lawsuit comes more than five months after the NCAA changed its participation policy for transgender athletes to limit competition in women’s sports to athletes assigned female at birth. That change came a day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order intended to ban transgender athletes from girls’ and women’s sports.

Schreiner, who had transitioned during high school, had previously run for Division III Rochester Institute of Technology but was set to compete as an athlete unattached to any school or club in the Larry Ellis Invitational. The complaint seeks unspecified damages for a “humiliating, dehumanizing and dignity-stripping ordeal” in front of family and friends."

The complaint cites New Jersey anti-discrimination law barring discrimination for being transgender, with schools considered areas of “public accommodation.”

“We stand by the allegations in the pleading,” Schreiner attorney Susie Cirilli told The Associated Press on Friday. “As stated in the complaint, the defendants’ individual actions were intolerable in a civilized community and go beyond the possible bounds of decency.”

Princeton’s media and athletics officials as well as Leone Timing did not return emails from the AP seeking comment."

I don't have a problem with any of this Snaggle Tooth.

Since this is being filed in New Jersey state court is there any way it could end up in front of SCOTUS or would the Jersey Supreme Court be the last stop?

The sooner these inconsistencies are resolved nationally the better- a patchwork of state-level litigation is just going to add to the confusion.

It depends if the school accepts federal funds. If so, title IX would likely control. In any event, I am not sure the troon has a leg to stand on under the state anti discrimination law.

It's possible if there's a federal question - Title IX getting involved might be relevant, but it's hard to tell at this point.

The more likely way this would end up at SCOTUS (which I doubt it will) is if Princeton successfully removes to federal district court and then someone appeals all the way up. The guy named a NY defendant and might not even be from NJ himself, so Princeton could get diversity as long as they were able to show that there was more than $75,000 at stake. I'm sure this was filed in state court because plaintiffs' lawyers thought it'd be easier to win that way.

Also why is it I keep hearing about RIT and women's sports. I get it's a tech school with only 34% women and a high percentage of autistic shut-in tech nerds who are likely to fall for trans ideology, but it's not huge on sports and isn't that big of a school overall. I don't get it.

A smart judge would grant a stay and hold the whole thing in abeyance until the SCOTUS rules on the two or three troon sport cases they just granted review on. Even though the troon sued under state law, it would be good to have a solid analytical framework to rely on.

Tim Mcbride fussing about troons being banned from the military to a completely empty chamber.

I guess this is from today's "Morning Hour Debate." Even I don't watch that shit, and I'm a Congressnerd who actually likes to watch committee meetings and legislative floor proceedings. The ones who like to hear themselves talk, and the ones who promised their constituents they'll "honor" some dead person in their district with a little speech, they're the ones who pontificate during "Morning Hour Debate."

It's interesting. I remember when the left used to be the biggest critics of Big Pharma and their tendency to throw pills at anyone with a slight issue instead of doing less invasive (but more time/cost consuming) things like therapy. The tendency to pill mill things like antidepressants deserve to be criticized, especially considering it's been linked to suicidal ideation.

I had a real issue trying to figure out where it goes because it touches upon many, many common issues, but since it concerns a troon legislator, I think this is the closest one. TL;DR Troon gets promoted to vice-chair of the Green Party, instantly fucks over rank and file supporters:

>be a Green Party liberal woman
>Invite a representative of the party leadership to visit as a gesture of goodwill
>The tranny leader drinks your liquor as well as his own
>He spends the whole evening calling everyone poor and bragging about his position
>At the end of the evening, your husband ends up fucking this tranny

Do you think she reached troon fatigue or became a handmaiden?

Tomorrow Dr Kate Searle will be giving evidence in the Sandie Peggie v NHS and Dr Theodore Upton case. It’s going to be worth following because Dr K Searle is a tranny positive Dr. The link to tribunal tweets is https://tribunaltweets.substack.com/p/peggie-vs-fife-health-board-and-dr-bd6
Apart from being unable to explain why potentially damning emails weren't included in evidence in February's hearing, saying "I'm a doctor and trustworthy" followed immediately by "I know I'm female because it says so on my birth certificate, sex is assigned at birth" and, per Tribunal Tweets, being gender critical means "strong views on sex and have two chromosomes", she also needed Naomi Cunningham to explain what she meant by "nebulous dogwhistle"

Hello there.webp
