I hate even asking this question and I wouldn't ask in a busier thread, but are hipsters even still a thing? I thought that fad died when anything old was considered racist.

Ignoring the sexual revolution simps from the US itself, a lot of it is because a (sadly large) portion of people in English-speaking countries don't understand the psychology behind exposing young people to simulated sexual stimuli (which is actually processed differently by the brain than simulated violence, which is the explanation for the alleged contradiction between sexual content and violent content in American media being treated differently), and that because Americans are skiddish around overt sexual content being plastered in public and aren't visiting brothels once a month like the average europoor then obviously America is a hyper-puritanical country that doesn't allow women to show their ankles and doesn't know what sex is.

Anyone who unironically tries to say that America is "sexually conservative" because Americans think singing about spreading your ass to an audience of 13 year olds is bad need to look at places like China. Sexuality of any kind is such a taboo in peoples personal lives there that they actively avoid teaching young people about sex or even talking about it publicly.

A massive number of Chinese parents and even institutions straight up don't talk about or explain safe sex at all, because they're afraid that doing so will inspire more people to have pre-marital sex. It's essentially a forbidden topic.
