What we know about that previous dispute is that 'Someone said something about [Nick] that wasn't true, and he believed it' so as an end result, Drexel didn't talk to Nick for years. At some point, Nick and Drexel started talking again. It is unclear if this was when he reached out during WW or earlier.

We never got an in-depth explanation of what it was--unless Nick mentioned it on Twitch. That platform has an auto-delete feature and I never watched his content there.

Drex has always been vehemently anti-drug. He said that people started contacting him because they were worried about Nick and posts here over the last couple of days confirm that happened.

Nick is the one who said that Drexel stopped talking to him because he believes something that's untrue and is acting like Drexel owes him an apology. Drex hasn't said anything about why he's not talking to Nick.

Drex seems perfectly capable of finding women without needing to scrape Nick's wine mum fandom.

Given his lifestyle and the kind of stories he tells I wouldn't be surprised if Drexel has experiences dealing with addicts. Once you've lost someone to hard drugs it changes your attitude on a fundamental level.
There may not even be outward signs it's happening; one day your loved one is with you and the next day, out of the blue, they're found dead from an OD. Even people who've been clean for years aren't safe; when they relapse it's even worse. They learn from their experience using how to keep all the signs completely hidden until it's too late and they wind up dead. Everyone who knew them is left wondering what the hell went wrong and agonizing over all the ways they might have made a difference if they'd just been a bit more perceptive.

Drugs are not a joke and whatever you may say about the guy at least Drexel is wise enough to keep himself and his kid away from that poison.
