Most who would invest in their own custom ice cream makers are moms and other people trying to be healthy or natural. Rich young adults with a bunch of appliances, are into fitness, and grew up on TV dinners (or other processed foods) aren't a large crowd. A more natural recipe would be more accessible in ingredients, wildly enjoyed, and I remember most recipes going viral were churn-free too.
