I'm not an economist but even I managed to predict this shit 4 years ago. But even though the ABC is starting to take notice of it and at least hint that (migration based) population growth is holding us back, there is no chance at all that this will cause a policy change.
While they mention immigration, they blame franking credits, causing investors to demand more in dividends, thus reducing what businesses invest. That doesn't hold water though, since business investment has reduced from 8% in the 90s to 6% today.
