I don't know the prices of research chemicals and Kratom, but he is probably not drinking for a week simply because he can't afford booze.

7Tabs are probably just the active ingredient in kratom for what it's worth, vendors started putting out raw 7-OHM [7-hydroxymitragynine] which is one of the active ingredients of kratom but much more potent and now a bunch of people are taking it like it's tylenol and are very surprised when they get hopelessly addicted to it. It's likely to get the plant banned entirely which is real cool for the people actually using it to get off of opioids or alcohol, a bunch of retards had to turn it into an actual drug. They've basically turned it into gas station vicodin at this point except it may actually be more potent. It's still not going to cause an OD [you need respiratory depression for that which none of the active constituents of kratom can cause] but guys are getting themselves into a lot of trouble with it. Mersh will be included among that group once he realizes how hard it is to kick.

I'd be surprised if he's still using regular kratom powder with 7-OHM because that shit kicks up your tolerance so high, the powder just won't do it anymore. Maybe though, I could see him doing it. Honestly, thinking about it more, kratom and humble marijuana sort of took the same road in this situation. In its non-concentrated form it's mostly benign, some people run into problems with it but overall one can partake responsibly. Then a bunch of people acting like crackheads turn it into a hard drug [dabs, concentrates, etc in mairjuana's case] and 7-OHM tablets or extracts in kratom's case and start causing huge problems. I don't smoke pot anymore but it seems to me like nobody ever just smokes a joint or hits a bowl anymore, they have to turn it into some shit where you need a bunch of paraphernalia and tools to smoke your freebase THC crack rocks. It really is the crackhead mentality, chasing the high at all costs even with diminishing returns and we already know Mersh demonstrates quite a few crackhead behaviors. He can't just smoke a bowl or take regular kratom powder, he has to push it to the very limit and turn something fairly benign into a major addiction.

I don't know much about Kratom, but I know (from making it) the problem with cannabis extracts is broke junkies like Mersh can't afford the real products like rosin or even BHO resin so they have to rely on cheap synthetic knock offs like that Delta 8 crap which is basically the extract equivalent of Spice. With how much Mersh smokes of that crap if it was pure THC he would be in hospital due to cannibiniod posioning instead of having horse strokes on stream.
