Sort of. A few users were accusing him of janny activity. I think the main accusation was deleting comments making fun of him if they were popular. One person kept posting screenshots and links, I didn't look at them too closely but now I wish I had. It never could really be an anti podawful sub because podawful whether you like it or not invented laughing at mersh as a genre.

The sub had been pretty dead of late anyways and it probably wasn't going to get a huge infusion of new blood so this doesn't change much.

Fwiw he's denied it. The main admin he's talking about is one of his biggest fans who wouldn't lock it down without him wanting her to, and he's been active lately replying to these trolls, so doubt. My guess it's got to be a headache as he's got an argumentative nature and can't help engaging with all of them, so he just decided to nuke it. It has been pretty dead as he said aside from the anti-podawful stuff so hopefully it's a blessing in disguise and Mersh content can consolidate maybe here.

Lots of other funny shit over the years too. The triangle man song was great but can’t find it now. Interviewing baked Alaska, SMK, and others, including going to Queen Mersh’s house to film him , all of the DoorDash food drops and slawawful bits were hilarious. restreaming Mersh vacuuming in his sock feet for his kitty channel on a loop for days at a time, etc, The various Emershency broadcasts when Mersh got a stylist or was on a tv show for five seconds. Jesse can stretch a joke out for days, but it’s usually very funny. He isn’t as funny when he isn’t ripping on Mersh tho.

You also have to give Jessie credit for being there filming the dimensional merge betweeen CWC and Ethan Ralph

I'm not going to argue about whether Jesse is funny or not. He's definitely lying about the subreddit takedown though. He's implying that he just happened to notice it and the whole thing took him by surprise. It actually happened in the midst of him commenting multiple times a day arguing with people and someone removing posts critical of him. The sub was definitely dying, but he was by far the most active user at the time it was made private.

I'm the hecking redditor who pointed out that Jesse was removing comments that embarrassed him. This post was originally him announcing some contest for information about Royce's wedding, which he later didn't need. He deleted it, fair enough. The top comment was someone mocking his paltry prize. You can tell this got to him because he replies, and got downvoted. This was later all swept. The reason the top comment says "removed by moderator" and the one underneath says "deleted by user" is that mods can't delete other people's comments or posts, only remove and hide them. The only reason I even noticed this is that I was the one replying to Jesse's reply at the bottom. If you're familiar with the Jesse/Redbar/Mersh dono thing it makes sense in that context. There was no reason for him to even delete his own comment and he denied deleting anyone else's. He was too dumb to know that it would leave this kind of trail.

The fun part of this was just logging on every week or so to bring it up, it led to him spiraling and locking down his forum which I find hilarious. He was insta replying to/deleting most of my posts and the only way I could get one to stick was to wait until he fell asleep. He felt the need to address it on Twitter, still lying. I replied to him there with a burner which was predictably ineffectual but since you guys are discussing the r/Mersh disappearance and Jesse's involvement I thought I'd make my last statement here, where Free Speech Lives.
